Students will be required to post a blog entry, either in English or Filipino (but not both), twice week. This makes the job of the adviser(s) and supervisor(s) easier.CS195 offers the student with a “theory-to-practice” learning experience in an actual real world scenario. The aim is for students to know how software development is being done outside the confines of the classrooms.

What are the requirements?

Students are required to:

  1. render a minimum of 180 hours of work to the company.
  2. work on a software development project.
  3. submit progress reports via blog entries posted at least twice a week.
  4. submit an accomplished Self-Assessment Form at the end of the term.

Sponsoring Company is required to:

  1. assign someone to serve as the student’s immediate supervisor.
  2. when possible, provide a full description of the project assigned to the student.
  3. submit an accomplished Performance Assessment Form at the end of the term.

If you are a student and you need a letter to a company, please do not hesitate to send me e-mail. If you belong to/own a company and you intend to sponsor students for internship this summer, please do send a letter with your company profile, number of students you wish to employ, and, when possible, description of the project(s) and address it to Prof. Rowena Solamo and/or Prof. Rom Feria, Department of Computer Science, University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City, 1101.
