Stay Connected!

Cisco TelePresence was shown in action, an ingenious solution to a geographically challenged collaboration between colleagues, partners, and customers. It is a no-delay, real-time video and audio conferencing experience. Familiarized with base stations (radio receiver/transmitter that serves as the hub of the local wireless network), antenna systems, modem (produce a signal that can be transmitted easily and decoded to reproduce the original digital data), and catalyst switches.

So far, with all the technologies I’ve seen, these thesis topics interest me:

  1. TelePresence (or even Skype) technology + Surf TV to efficiently (both in cost and complexity) aid in communication between OFWs and their families here in the Philippines.
  2. IPICS – to further enhance and upgrade the Patrol 117 service in the Philippines and be able to trace prank callers.
  3. PGov – mobile unified government transaction. It is a mobile application dedicated primarily for the user’s transaction in the different Philippine government agencies namely: NBI Clearance/Police Clearance/LTO – Land Transportation Office/NSO – National Statistics Office/ PhilHealth/ SSS- Social Security Services/ NHA – National Housing Authority/ COMELEC – Commission on Elections/ etc.
  4. RFID technology
  5. Laptop as a Wi-Fi router
