Internship @ POD: The Project & Environment

What we do at POD is real work. We are working on a time-tracking system. We are developing an application for a main office that manages the workers data including salary reports. We will also develop a remote office/construction site application. After we are done with the project, people from POD will make a kiosk to house the system for the construction site.

We discussed on our first meeting what the project will be and how we are going to work on it. Cyrod, Mark, and I are working closely for this project. We are using Java and MySQL. We are also using Netbeans and SVN to make our development more efficient. I am using Tortoise SVN for Windows. The remote office will be using Ubuntu.

Since we are working on a project, we will get a stipend. One great thing with our internship at POD is that we are not required to work at their office. We just have to get the job done. We scheduled three meetings a week to have our progress report.
