Yesterday, we went to Microsoft’s office in Makati City and presented our projects to students from different universities. There, we met some of Microsoft Philippines’ employees, the Student Partners and the founder of the Student Partner program of Microsoft.

Presentations

Leo started by delivering a short introduction about Multipoint. Afterwards, he presented the Automated Feedback Form he came up with.

After Leo, I presented my Automated Poll/Survey Form, followed by Janina with her Automated Group Ordering Form.

Drei introduced some of the features of Silverlight before presenting her Digital Photo Gallery created through the Deep Zoom Composer.

Windows Live

Lastly, a student from the Mapua Institute of Technology gave a short talk about Windows Live. Here’s a preview of his talk:

1) The Skydrive — a free 25 GB online storage for Windows Live users.

2) Online Office Tools — create PowerPoint presentations, Word documents or even Excel worksheets through your browser

3) Windows Live Messenger — Microsoft’s messenger application

4) Live Mail — Microsoft’s mailing service

5) Spaces — Microsoft’s blogging services

My Thoughts

It was really fun meeting new IT students and enthusiasts. But more significantly, it was a privilege for me to speak in front of those people and share my knowledge and experiences from this internship program. I’m also happy that other people have seen my project. Somehow, my time and effort creating the program was not really wasted.
